At Earnest Roots Farm, we believe food should be raised the way God intended—on pasture, in harmony with creation, and with great care for the land, the animals, and the families we feed. Our practices reflect our values: faith, stewardship, transparency, and integrity.

 Regenerative Farming

We use regenerative agriculture to heal and rebuild the land. That means:
- No synthetic fertilizers or chemicals
- Natural soil building through compost, animal manure, and rotational grazing
- Working with nature to improve water retention, biodiversity, and soil health

Healthy soil grows better forage, which produces healthier animals—and in turn, more nutrient-dense food for your family.

 Pasture-Raised Poultry
Our meat chickens and laying hens are raised outdoors on grass, fresh air, and sunshine with access to a hoop house.

- They’re rotated regularly to fresh pasture
- They scratch, peck, dust-bathe, and forage as they were created to
- We supplement with GMO-free, soy-free grain, and offer a certified organic option
- No antibiotics, no hormones, no bad stuff. Just birds being birds.

Pigs on Pasture

Our pigs live outdoors, where they can root, wallow, and kick up their heels. 

- They’re fed a GMO-free, soy-free grain ration
- They help us manage weeds and add fertility naturally
- Their freedom and diet translate into richly flavored, clean pork

 100% Grass-Fed & Finished Beef and Lamb

- Our cattle and sheep graze on fresh pasture and are never fed grain.

- Raised right here on the same land Kiley grew up on

- Rotationally grazed for optimal health of both the animals and the land
- Never confined, implanted, or given antibiotics or growth hormones
-This is beef and lamb the old-fashioned way.

 Beekeeping and Land Stewardship

- Our bees help pollinate the pastures and surrounding wild spaces, and in return, we harvest raw, unfiltered honey and beeswax used in our candles and skin care.
- No synthetic treatments
- Every hive is managed with care and respect

What We Don’t Do:

- No GMOs, antibiotics, hormones, or synthetic chemicals

- No feedlots or confinement barns

- No shortcuts that compromise animal welfare or food quality
