Small but mighty, chicken hearts are a nutrient-dense cut with a rich, savory flavor and surprisingly tender texture when cooked properly. If you’re looking to incorporate more organ meats into your diet, hearts are a great place to start.
Chicken hearts are naturally rich in protein and provide important nutrients including iron, zinc, selenium and B vitamins. Unlike stronger-flavored organ meats, they have a mild, meaty flavor that makes them incredibly versatile in the kitchen.
Sauté them in a hot skillet with butter or tallow, thread them onto skewers and grill them, add them to stir-fries, or incorporate them into soups and stews. They can also be finely chopped or ground and mixed into ground beef for an easy way to add organ meats to meals without making them the star of the dish.
Our chickens are raised on pasture, where they are regularly moved to fresh ground with access to sunshine, grass and bugs.

Tip: Chicken hearts cook quickly! A hot skillet and a short cooking time helps keep them tender rather than tough.
